Virtual Stunt Dog Level 1 (VSD1)
To Earn you Virtual Stunt Dog Level 1 demonstrate the skills set out in the criteria below in one unedited video submission. Includes a certificate and rosette
Please ensure there is a clear view of your whole area in the video including a clear view of the pedestal and target mark.
Please use a pedestal of the approx. measurements W30”xL30”xH12”
Please use a target mark of the approx. measurements 12” diameter and no more than 2” high
Rules:
CUES: The handler may give 2 cues per trick/ task unless specifically specified. Praise and encouragement at any time is fine.
TREATS: Treats may not be used until the end of the performance but praise at any time is allowed.
QUALIFYING: Applicant has 3 months to resubmit the test that did not qualify, at no additional cost. Application fee will not be refunded.
Virtual Stunt Dog Level 1 Criteria
Enter ring and perform a perimeter circle on lead anti-clockwise
Mount your pedestal and assume the ready position
Stay on the pedestal – handler backs up 4 feet for 5 seconds, then return to your dog and assume the ready position
Handler circles pedestal at a 2 feet distance whilst dog stays on the pedestal, then return to your dog and assume the ready position
Perform one trick on the pedestal of a Novice level or higher, then return to your dog and assume the ready position
Walk with your dog off lead and send dog to pedestal from 6 feet away, then return to your dog and assume the ready position
Walk with your dog off lead and send to a target mark or mat from 4 feet away, dog stays for 5 seconds. Walk to collect your dog, mount the pedestal then assume the ready position
Perform 2 hoop jumps interactions on the floor
Perform 2 Novice level or above tricks on the floor
Perimeter circle anti-clockwise on lead and exit
